In recent years I have developed two obsessions. Regular readers will recognize them.
The first is tattoos; what people do to their bodies, what they spend to do it and the vision of how they will look like when applying for Social Security.
And that brings me to the second obsession; Social Security or more accurately the misinformation people believe and carelessly pass around. Today I read a post on Facebook that Congress stole the Social Security Trust to start the Peace Corps.
But I have to admit my all time favorite outright lie is that Social Security has a surplus.
This nonsense drives me up a wall in part because it is so easy these days to learn the truth.
Over a year ago I wrote about Social Security myths on HumbleDollar, take a look, it’s still relevant.
