Even after the ACA cut the subsidy to Medicare Advantage Plans enrollment continued to grow. MA plans typically add extra benefits and in many cases without additional premiums above the Part B premium. A little over a third of Medicare beneficiaries have elected this private insurance alternative. The plans with most enrollment have been rated high quality as well.
