Over nine years ago and nothing has changed except the fiscal condition of Social Security has deteriorated.
And you can blame every member of Congress past and present.
Déjà vu, I didn’t realize that it was Groundhog Day already and still nothing is getting better.

We all know Congress will wait until the eleventh hour to do anything. By then my total family benefit, since my wife never worked will be $354,744. I and my employers paid just $35,082 in FICA taxes in the 27 years I had income that was subject to the tax.
So, if they do nothing the reduced benefits will take away about 10 years of COLAs and I am ok with that because, I never thought I would get anything close to the SS benefit my wife and i get today. Please do not tell Congress that i am willing to take the cut, lol.
