Over nine years ago and nothing has changed except the fiscal condition of Social Security has deteriorated.

And you can blame every member of Congress past and present.

    • We all know Congress will wait until the eleventh hour to do anything. By then my total family benefit, since my wife never worked will be $354,744. I and my employers paid just $35,082 in FICA taxes in the 27 years I had income that was subject to the tax.
So, if they do nothing the reduced benefits will take away about 10 years of COLAs and I am ok with that because, I never thought I would get anything close to the SS benefit my wife and i get today. Please do not tell Congress that i am willing to take the cut, lol.
