April update for 2017 Social Security COLA – a very slight ray of hope🤑

For there to be a 2017 COLA, the average CPI-W for July, August and September 2016 must exceed 233.27.

imageApril is the first month from October 2015 through March 2016 that has exceeded that number.

April 2016 CPI-W was 233.438 very slightly above the target of 233.27

  1. I really hope that there is a COLA…those that are on Social Security..esp if it is not a big amount…really would need this extra help…I wish they would once and for all…straighten all this mess out about Social Security…it belongs to the people..and those that are elected by the people..need to remember that…
