If the gas prices keep going up, we may see a small cola in 2017. Great if it happens, I have not purchased any gasoline since July 2014. City bus $20 per month. Greyhound if I travel.

The problem is any COLA will be eaten up by the catchup for the Part B premium.

Yeah, one step forward, two steps backward. Part B premium goes up and then your Medicare supplement premium goes up, so it is a double whammy. About the only way I stay even is cut something like steak out of the budget or wait 3 more months before my next haircut.
