Security clearance for refugees 

This from the Center for American Progress; as the name implies, a liberal left  leaning organization.

Syrian refugees face a long security screening process before being admitted for entry to the United States. Averaging 18 months to 24 months, the process is the most intensive of any check conducted for people seeking admission to the United States. It is specially designed to mitigate any threats and helps ensure Americans are not placed in harm’s way.

I don’t know how to separate fact from fiction here, but if the process for each refugee takes 1-1/2 to 2 years, where are they going in the meantime and why is this an issue for November 2015? It would also be interesting to know what data bases include information on hundreds of thousands of average Syrians.

Something does not add up here. 

Certainly we should help innocent refugees, especially children, but surely there must be a common sense middle ground to do this. Somebody tell us the truth. 😡
Really? Then how to we reconcile this? Is the left so liberal and niave as to disregard reality? 

FBI director James Comey said during a House Committee on Homeland Security hearing on Wednesday that the federal government does not have the ability to conduct thorough background checks on all of the 10,000 Syrian refugees that the Obama administration says will be allowed to come to the U.S.

“We can only query against that which we have collected,” Comey said in response to a line of questioning from Mississippi Rep. Bennie Thompson .
